Quality Protection Since 1983
The first version of the CTi was released in 1983 by Innovation Sports, set up by Jim and his brother Ed with endorsement and investment from renowned knee surgeon Dr Richard Steadman. Named after the Carbon (C) frame and Titanium (Ti) hinges and tested on skiers, the first brace sold was actually to a motocross rider. It has since become a staple of many riders kit and established itself as one of the most popular options for knee bracing in extreme sports.
In 2006 Icelandic company Ossur acquired Innovation Sports and began to manufacture the CTi knee brace. Known for its use of silicon and carbon fibre in manufacturing lower limb prosthetics, Ossur integrated its Sensil Silicone into the CTi liners in 2007.
Today CTi knee braces are the knee protection of choice for professionals worldwide - from athletes to physicians - who need reliable, clinically proven knee ligament support and impact protection they can trust.

- A basic frame design that functions well for riding. The CTi is the only ligament knee brace that captures the tibia, locking down securely on the tibial crest. The rigid upper and lower arms combine with the hinges, condyle pads and straps to properly align the knee joint and provide an accurately-tracking exoskeletal support.
- There are no rigid components in the upper medial aspect. This keeps the rider streamlined to the bike and enables them to use their thighs to better grip the tank without pinching or digging in.
- This bundle includes dual patella cups. This protective cup keeps the patella safe from flying rocks and other debris common to riding environments.
- CTi has no rigid components across the posterior (back) side of the brace, so you won't experience pinching or cramping when in deep flexion (squatting) through whoops or tight corners.
- CTi's low-profile design allows it to tuck into the top of MX boots. It actually works in conjunction with the boot to help provide better overall protection.
