Does a great job of cooling a new knee. Uses quite a bit of ice. Current setting is 1, and doing well.

Solid machine but needs lots of fixes. . It needs a quick connect so that all of the hoses and knee pads don't have to be hauled to the sink for ice refills. The lid is ridiculous. It almost takes a pry bar to open. Needs a handle or a deeper cut in the existing handle. Ice melts incredibly fast. 2 hours until melted which doesn't cut it for sleeping. Make a MUCH bigger ice water reservoir.

This our second unit we've bought. The reason for the 2nd one was because we thought we could use parts from the first one to keep this one going, as the first one quit working after using it a couple of times the previous year.The problem, was the motor quit pumping water. I watched a U Tube video on a repair with the same non pumping problem. After totally taking apart the unit, no small feet, I manually turned the impellar and freed up the motor to pump once again.I think this is a weakness in this design. But if you read the reviews on some of the other brands they're really not much better.Since we had previously ordered additional attachments for varying injuries we thought we'd stick with this brand to be able to use them.

I have used it right after a 1- back fusion Surgery (12/7/18) 2- shoulder surgery (2/1/18) & 3- hip replacement surgery 10/20/22) and I give it a ton of credit for my quick healing from each one. It should be required from your doctor!It would be impossible to give it enough credit for the pain relief & healing it gives. And no messing around with messy frozen ice or gel pacs and 100 times more effective.I leant my first unit out several times to friends and lost track of it. I didn't hesitate to buy another unit before my last surgery.
